Committee Update + AGM 2018

To all Cougar members and supporters – At the last committee meeting, both the President Geoff Nicholl and Secretary Gavan Wignall announced they would both be stepping down at the end of this season.

Geoff is the longest serving president in the clubs history at 6 seasons and Gavan the second longest serving secretary at 5 seasons. These two have overseen great growth and success at East Keilor, and whilst they may no longer be in an official capacity, they will still be around the club as sponsors and supporters going forward.

Kylie Nicholl will also step down from the treasury role after a number years on the committee doing multiple different roles.

It is time for the next generation to think about how they would like their club run going forward. Its exciting times for the Cougars with terrific numbers in all age divisions, the introduction of Girls footy and the redevelopment of Overland with a $3.5 million facility due to start construction.

If you think you could put your stamp on the East Keilor Football Club in our 52nd year, the AGM will be held in OCT ( date TBA ) and now is the time to step forward to continue the work that has been done by all the great EK volunteers since 1967.

On behalf of the club, we thank Geoff, Gavan and Kylie for their ongoing support and effort within the club and around the grounds.

If you would like more information , please don’t hesitate to contact either Geoff 0417 362 775  or Gavan 0418 306 000 for a chat.

  1. Well done to all 3 especially Geoff who has spent 7 years negotiating funding for the new clubrooms. I wish all 3 the best for the future and look forward to 2019 with excitement .
